Only a couple of useable shots from yesterday I’m afraid, lens must’ve been mucky 😮
One of Jon fighting the electrics in his cupboard ‘upstairs’, and one of the view from above the port intake. Rich in his standard green, Benyboy wearing his earmuffs(guess his poor little lugs were cold! :diablo:) and Ollie clambering (in)elegantly into the cockpit!
    Apologies, poor effort 🙁

    Cheers Peter.

Well seeing as nobody else has got round to it I’ll do a little update-let of today’s doings…

    Firsly well done Ollie 🙂

Been a wet crappy day really, Benyboy and myself eventually dared to venture out from the comfort of the warm dry NAAFI and finish doing battle with the RAT scoop. It’s now officially DONE 🙂 just needs the chipper and RAT reinstating. All that effort for one bl**dy seal…
Meanwhile Rich was on pest control…;)
While we were doing this Andre, Ollie et al. were under no. 4 engine, prodding at firewires and tutting. I ran off and hid myself back in my comfort zone of things that can be fixed with a big hammer! Nice to see in the engine bay though, my education of all things Victor continues…
Lunch came and went with few recorded fatalities, then it was back at it. (Benyboy, don’t forget you owe me £3. Steve owes me 7p- have you not wondered why he’s been very quiet recently…..?!)
A few odd jobs in the rear bay, then an attempt at running the Artouste to get to the bottom of the electrical shenanigans of a fortnight ago. Much cursing later it wouldn’t fire. Heads were scratched, and coffee was drunk. Andre and Jon disappeared into the top hatch of ‘231, from which mumblings about elastitrickery could be heard. Me, Ben and Ollie started attempting to remove the inspection hatches from above no.4 engine, with mixed success. Paint and time has taken it’s toll it seems, but we’ll prevail…
These shall be stripped and painted, given some new seals then put back on, should keep the wet out of no.4’s bay.
I can’t even pretend I understand what was going on with the electrics enough to explain (only partly as I was busy elsewhere), but the Artouste deigned to fire up after all, The problem was then diagnosed (we think), and hopefully next weekend will see the electrical woes sorted with a nice fresh shiny voltage regulator 🙂

Personally I think Ollie hit the nail on the head when he said Lindy was having a hissy just because some of us trooped down to see Tina last weekend…
A couple of shots to follow when I get around to it.:D

I would concur Martin, but I’m to go throw spanners and insults at ‘231 instead! 🙂

My wholehearted agreement on that one.
    We will remember them.

    Seconded, and well said Kev.

If the wheel had come off it could have been downright nasty.

Very true. See the time someone saw fit to try nicking the wolfies off my MG…
