Ooh living dangerously Joey- You’ll have the big Mod Stick of Dooooom swung at you for quoting my post mate! Just cos you’re over the Channel you ain’t safe!:D

Fair enough Joey, personally I’d say screwing up 2 livers counts as 2 strikes, and asking for a third to pickle counts as a third, but we’ll just agree to differ over that point- it’s academic and peripheral to the main question anyway.

You know you’ve been on here for too long when you make that transition from being permanently bewildered to everything becoming crystal clear! 😀

Joey- thankyou. I can’t speak for Paul but my way of tallying up is- Born with liver fitted as standard; Strike 1. Donated one transplanted; Strike 2. After another one; A thoroughly undeserved Strike 3. That’s how I’m counting it anyway.
I agree first come first served isn’t the way such things should be settled- each case should be treated on merit. I feel her case has little, but there again neither (to me) does your suggested 65 year old alternative!
As to your point, Bumblebee, about telling the person it was their own fault? A work colleague of my Dad’s, when diagnosed with lung cancer, was told exactly that by the consultant.
As for helping people, and treating them, well some people just don’t want to be helped, or are to stupid to be helped effectively. This individual is clearly such a case.
…Sorry was typing same time as PMN. Again…!
