Sir G. I think but you might be surprised to hear I’m not certain. In my admittedly extremely biased view, all DH aeroplanes look wonderful. I make an exception for the DH.93 Don, it must have been an off day. However, from the mid-thirties on, it wasn’t just Sir Geoffrey. Bishop, Tamblin and others were taking an increasing design role. On the other hand, I suppose he did start a few years before most of the others mentioned here.

Supermarine type 317. First two prototype fuselages nearing completion and severely damaged when the Itchen Works was bombed in September 1940. Construction was abandoned due to pressure of work.
Not really comparable to the Stirling, despite being to the same B12/36 requirement. Type 317, Stirling in brackets, over 300mph, (260), range 3,000 miles (2010), bomb load 8,000 lbs (3,500). To be fair the Stirling figures are actual and the Supermarine figures are obviously projected.
