    Speaking of deleted threads, the deleted “whinge” thread on historic about the post-Legends meet had a great reply from Steve. It was one of the last posts before the thread was pulled.

    I permanently delete all my reply notifications within a day or so. Does anybody still have it?

    Image stabilisation certainly seems to be worth having. I’ve no idea how it works but if it’s anything like the DSLR’s it’s very useful.

    I know we’re talking a different class of camera here but looking at the results Damien, Robbo, Nick et al get, there’s no way I could take shots like that with a 35mm SLR and a long lens. I would have to use a seriously fast shutter speed to stand any chance of a clear picture.

    Both sets of tips were useful.
    When I go past there I’m usually accelerating to warp speed for the M11 so, apart from noticing the cemetery was there, I don’t know the area at all.

    I found a basic map on the net showing the cemetery and the shape of the roads at the junction(s) but with no details of lanes, direction, anything. Very useful. 🙁

    Sitting here in my usual self-unemployed fashion thinking things could be worse.

    At least it’s not ### down like it did all day yesterday. (Saved mods the trouble of editing missing word. :))
