Thought all you chaps who supplied so much useful info might like to see the results of all your work and knowledge.

As was said before, some more info about your friend would be very interesting to hear and who knows may inspire one of us, I know am inspired to paint subjects by what I read and hear, and I’m always looking for new ideas.

Cheers guys, yeh I suppose chuffed was an understatement, as I have been quite productive of late I thought I would add the latest effort.

Hi guys
Been busy painting of late, thought you might be interested in the results.
It’s called “The loneliness of the long distance flyer” and is of course the Mew Gull of Alex Henshaw.
Hope you like it, I’m a bit chuffed to say the least

Excellent work there Paul, I especially like the Phantom and Lightning Bear intercepts – fantastic.
Theres always room for a decent Nimrod painting, especially in the white and grey scheme;)
I’ll add it to the “to do” list
PaulC
Thanks glad you liked it, not disrupted just moved in another direction

:diablo: You have just caused me to hiking into my loft to look through my boxes for the Paul Brickhill book, can i find it,can i hell.Old mousetraps -yes,many boxes of books but no Reach for the sky.
I seem to remember an introduction about Baders name,i think part of it was something to do with his Grandad and possibly Scotland. If i am up in the early hours rummaging i’ll blame you :pYou would’nt happen to be looking for something to paint would you?

I think I’ve got it now so no need to turn the house upside down, and to answer you’re question , yes
But the reason I asked is that I produced an airbrushed side view with some blurb about Bader and someone looking at it pointed out that I had spelt his name wrong, quite possible as my fingers are dyslexic, but I was sure I was correct, so I win the pint.
thanks for the help
PaulC
Thanks guys
I’d not seen that spelling before so just wanted to confirm it was correct, I don’t always trust the interweb.

recently did this one – HALIFAX OVER PENDLE HILL , makes a nice change from B17’s
Very nice go4b17 seems the Halifax is flavour of the month, just turning this into a painting only of a coastal command machine.
