Just thought I would remind anyone interested or in need of an excuse to get out of the gardening about the open day at Tangmere on Sunday, as Scott says loads to see.

This looks like being the next painting, it depicts the Piper Aztec of Sheila Scott over the sea ice on her record breaking flight over the north pole, I think she is a sadly forgotten heroine of her day and her book ‘on top of the world’ is a good read.

Of course you could commission one from one of the wonderful artists residing here (hint hint), the wife might like to get involved so she gets one that is acceptable to you both.
