    RE: Concorde in trouble again!

it was indded the A342, wiyhout pax and seats although without any extra fuel in this available space, and the Concordes max. range is 6580 km. I agree about the cost of fuel part Wombat, and you have a interesting draw in your mind mate. Contenental posted a $35m second quarter loss and 40% of that due to higher fuel prices after Sept. 11 and not enough passengers. Here in India the fuel price is three times that is in USA, thats why you dont hear “low-cost airline” here in India.

nothing to do with Virgin…but i was supposed to be on a flight to HK, it was when UA used to come here with there around the world flight. The flight was around 7 hours late, even we got a sorry letter from UA for our inconvinience. I think all major airlines mst be following this.

Mongu you are comparing it differently, if you compare it as airline was how can you compare it to BA? Ok so they do some competing routes and they might be better price wise than BA, but still BA will be the better one, service wise, class wise etc.

really you cant compare BA with Ryanair. BA is a proper world class airline while Ryan air is a low-cost carrier. Of course Ryanair will be cheap…have old planes, can never think of offering what BA offers etc.

RE: A380 Assembly Facility In TOU Inaugurated By French President

TOU building will be smaller than Everett….it was here in the papers today. And as GD1 said as it is home to 3 widebodies, so i guess it had to be bigger.

yes…Boeing always looks opertunities like these. There biggest job of this kind was repairing the JAL B747 stranded in Alaska after a belly landing. It was alomost like building a new a/c. AW also did a feature on it.
