    There is news but…

Because of commercial confidentiality agreements cant say just yet what is happening expect news to leak out sooner rather than later though.

Not strictly a book on aircraft but…

Mike Rossiter’s Ark Royal is an amazing read

    also highly recomend

Doug Stanton’s In Harms Way about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis a very powerfull read, she took the first A-Bomb to Tinian, and was sunk return to station with many of the crew taking to the water however for those that went in to the water the hell was only just begining.

    OK

But they were Anti-Aircraft defence positions, which is why it was put in the Historic Aircraft secction.

I was on her today as well

Just a shame the weather did not play ball,

Got on at The Pier, was listening to the chatter on the shipping radio sure I heard that out at the forts a gusting wind of force 8 had been recorded!

was a bit windy was’nt it mate!

    Still an intresting trip though.

    Lucky bl:mad: 😉 dy you.

My copy died many many years ago, I reorded it off the TV when Video recorders were bigger than a house! tape must have lasted a good 20 years or more before it litrally committed suicide and became unwatchable.

    Work is progressing well,

The more people that visit the better, Pay us a visit and you will get to see the work that has already been done in the cockpit with bits removed giving a rare opitunity to see behind the black boxes in the rear of the cockpit.

There is a photo in one of the Wrecks & Relics I beleve, I dont think it ever left the airport after it arrived and was scrapped on site.

I’ll dig it out in the morning if I can find it as I am having a sort out and got books, videos, programmes, ICBM’s all over the place.
