Went on Sunday too, bit wet and windy but had a great flight on the Twin Pin the take off would have put a Harrier to shame! and the 30kt head wind helped!

Hope to do the Devon next time and if its avalable the Pembroke.

The Ulster Folk & Transport Museum have VH-UUP/G-ACUX in store

The mortal remians of Scion G-AEZF was on charge with the Southend Museum but this was just the very batterd remins of the fuseularge frame. a restoration/re-build was being under taken (photos appeard in anoth mag cant rember what one) upon the closure of the musum the aircraft moved to a garage in Southend where the restoration continued it then moved to the Thameside Aviation Museum and then on to Redhill.

    😀

At the 06 end BEFORE the gates went up the Clacton airshow movemnets were doing thier thing, there must have been about 6 or 7 of us just standing there watching and taking photos when…

A car pulled up behind us looked round and you’ve guessed it a police car was sitting there thinking it was marching orders time every one started to gather thier camera gear and quickly very very quickly switching off radios when

The cops got out the car ans asked when the BBMF was due to take off! they stayed to watch even asking if we could put our radios BACK on so they could hear the chatter, after the BBMF departed they were about to drive off when I said Canberra was taking off in a few minites the reply was *******ing Ell we’ll wait for that!

Once she had depart the coppers said enjoy the rest guys dont get too sunburnt and drove off!
