my humble appologies i could not resist the forbiden fruit
to use pearl harbour as an example some of the pilots that participated in the flying sequences complained that they were not used enough or that they were asked to do things that were very dangerous to themselves their planes and the people on the ground.
As a result the vast majority of what you see in the film is CGI. As things have moved on a lot since then more of the film will be made using computers, besides paying a man to sit at a desk playing with a computer is cheaper than using a very valuable Spitfire, Hurricane etc.
dez it will be good for museums and airshows. But i dought it will be good for warbird operators as during the making of it they will probably use a lot of computer generated stuff (CGI i think ) unless the warbird operators get more airshow bookings.
Janie i seem to recal it was a song of the division bell album. But one of the other albums has a hospital bed on the cover so i could be completly wrong
crazymainer wasn`t the building of the wall also something to do with Roger Waters beliving that ppl didn`t listen to the music and were more interested in watching the band and light show. Hence the audience had no choice but to listen to the music?
This thread may have started on topic but is it still o/t?
But does anybody know why they build the wall?
p.s. i do know
a similar thing happened off the Spanish coast with a B52 i think it was sometime in the late 60s early 70s.

a navigator reads maps so flies cargo 😮
a WSO is a navigator who likes to drop bombs :p

a pilot is a navigation school reject
The second Meteor crash was a case of ‘Phantom Diver’ a problem specific to the Meatbox type. (that is if I recall correctly)
Its something to do with the airbrakes and not enough engine thrust i think and yes it is specific to the meatbox
Is the original film out on DVD? Does anyone know where i can get a copy?
