Zarqawi might have been beaten to death
LONDON: The leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, may have been beaten to death by US forces following the air strike on his safe house, two British newspapers claimed on Sunday.
The Observer and the Sunday Times both carried reports on events leading up to his death, citing apparent eyewitnesses to the immediate aftermath of the attack near the city of Baquba, northeast of Baghdad, last Wednesday. In a two-page report, The Observer said that although there had been no corroboration of the claims that the badly-injured Zarqawi was beaten to death, revelations of revenge killings by US troops “means it cannot be discounted”. It quoted one man as saying that US soldiers had pulled a man resembling Zarqawi from an ambulance where locals had placed him, wrapped his traditional Arab robe, the dishdasha, around his head and “battered him severely till he died”. The Sunday Times went into more detail, citing 25-year-old labourer Ali Abbas as saying: “They (the US soldiers) were shouting and screaming and in a very tense and agitated mood.”
He added: “The Americans tore his dishdasha and they kept on asking him through an interpreter, ‘What is your name, what is your name?’”
The troops were said to have been worried that the man was wearing a suicide belt. Abbas said that the soldiers kicked the wounded man in the chest until he grew paler and began bleeding from his mouth before he died. He apparently recognised the dead man as Zarqawi after seeing pictures in newspapers the following day. Both newspapers carried US military confirmation that Zarqawi had not died after the initial air strike and that he had tried to roll off the stretcher when he realised the soldiers’ identity.
What do you guys think now?
Have you heard anything like “innocent till proven guilty”?

All is about Money and Power. Those which dont have it want it and those which have it want to keep it. A primary human nature which is shown in its worst form. When the USSR was in full might it was also not ready to let go own interests only because the world was not happy with the actions. So is the case with America these days. But then this cycle always continues now one is in power with due time some1 else. America as a nation lets see how long the saga continues.

Which further strengthens the point being raised that “Crying does not make Isreal innocent”. History has proven the real nature of how Israel handles palestine and whts being done now days is no different to what Israel has done before.
The guy cutted some throats in Iraq for his favourite TV channel, he planned bloody massacres all around, and he got what he deserved, a couple of Mk-82´s, with this fanatics there´s no possible dialogue, that´s all.
Well dear i wonder when US uses banded ordinance against civilians in Fallujah and some scared/frusted soldier(s) gun down civilians in Hadithya, what do you think the people on the other side of the table fighting the war with USA would consider a possible dialogue???
I guess these harsh realities of war are too clear to be unnoticed. Seems a tit for tat policy taking place in Iraq so far. Care to shed some light in this regard?

The whole guy is a myth generated by US to get some face to the enemy…
So Gollevianen their alwayz has to be a face to fight the enemy. First their was Saddam as long he was in the hidding, then along came Zarqawi and now that he is gone; dont u think there has to be another face for insurgents and for that matter of fact US forces to look at or for.
I wonder when Zarqawi pledge alliance with Bin Laden there was Bin Laden spokes person their, Considering Zahwari also commended regarding Zarqawi’s activities in the past, i think a man would already be in place to be the next guy up the long ladder. What u think?

Considering the past record of Al-Qaeda leadership history, their is always someone their to take the top position. Considering the report posted up regarding Al-Qaeda website confirming the news is true, then this means the next in line must have been already calling the shots regarding which action to take and which not too. What you guys think about it?

Well i guess as long as a Government represents the aspirations of the people of the country its a good governemt. The moment it starts with its own agenda, well i guess thats where all the mess starts.
So if palestines voted for Hasam knowing fully what they are n wht they can do, then its their peoples wish what we can say. On the other hand when i see so many people protesting against the Wars USA is ragging from within USA i wonder who the US Gov is representing as surely the people aint excited about the war ny more.
How can dictators survive in a Islamic world at all?!
Similarly as Sharon a General turned Politician can survive in Israel.
Yes this could very well be the reason but then the Oil factor is too large to be taken out of the equation. Israel possesing Nuclear weapons could hardly be termed as wipped off the map. Lets keep the reality in the discussion.
