One or two more De Havilland military jets for you. This time all vampire T11s, which I suspect were taken in the very early 60s. Apart from that I am not sure by who, when or where. Hoping you will enjoy them. The quality of some is not good due to being scanned from prints.

3 WZ507 coded 63 in better days

Another few pics for you. This time all of 46 squadron. As 46 only operatedthe FAW2 between August 57 and June 61 I suspect these must have been taken during that period. I must apologies for the poor quality as they are all scanned from prints.
I do not know when where or by who they were taken.

Alex,
Thanks for the info. I looked long and hard at the print and after much consideration decided that the badge did not look quite right for 1 Sqadron and hence chose 25.
I bow to your superior knowledge.

The American one was still in existance in April 97. I saw it not far from Sky Harbour South Las Vegas dismantled on a trailer next to a farm?
I am sure I took a slide of it but it is not catalogued and having just moved house I do not have a clue where it is. If it comes to light I will post it.
I seem to recall seeing an article in one of the aviation mags many years ago but I may be mixing it up with the British project.

By the way I started a thread “Airlines of the Channel Islands in the thirties” which not many people had a look at but if you like DH84, DH86, DH89 or DH95 it is worth a look. Perhaps I picked the wrong title?

The aircraft is HF944 coded K of 282 squadron and is a Warwick I.
The same photo appears in Air-Britains “Royal Air Force Aircraft HA100 – HZ999”
An engine cut on 8/7/46 at Silloth and the aircraft hit trees on overshoot.
Hope this clears this up.

Yes Papa, there are all manufacturers photos. They are all I have unless more come to light in the many prints and negatives as of yet I have not examined.
I think next I will post some DH multi-engine aircraft, mainly bi-planes.

Here are the last seven, unless my scanning unearths any more. By the way I should have credited the Norecrin in the last batch to SNCAN.

I do not know what happened there but the photos have loaded in reverse order to the captions! Not the order I uploaded them.
