    Thanks for all your replies.

I’m surprised how many of you said its perfectly normal to come down over the mountains. Having only ever done that once on bmi’s F100, I assumed it was something to with aircraft types.

Anyway, you’ve cleared that up for me!

    Cheers. 🙂

Thanks chaps, know what you mean with the carpets and seats clashing, fly on them every month with work and was going to use there telephone check in for tomorrows flight, hence why I need a seat config

Good luck getting through on telephone check-in line! Its half way between being outsourced to India and has stopped being answered at the old bmi reseravations centre. Apparently you lucky to get answered inside half an hour at the moment!

As far as seat configs go, most of the Airbus fleet have flexible business/economy dividers. However, the seat plans are usually in the res system by 24hrs before departure.

At AMM we had lots of long-haul W patterns in effect.

To save on hotel expenses for flights that only operated from a certain base once a week, we would do for instance MAN-SFB-LGW then a long bus ride home from LGW unless Ops were feeling really generous and flew us back to base. The LGW crew would then do the same flight in reverse the day after.

I think this is pretty much still the same now with FCA (as they are known now) and probably quite a few other charter airlines.

    Evening folks,

Just got back from a weekend trip to AGP with Monarch Scheduled from LTN.

Guess what I saw taking off from LTN at around 3.30pm today whilst waiting for the car park bus… the very same 767 your talking about!

I have to say, the livery looks really great in reality. Lovely looking aircraft!

You can’t pre-assign seats on bmi mainline or regional unless your in Business unfortunately. Pre-historic I know, but thats their system for you!

I’d agree, go for anything at the back or the front. Does anyone remember CityFlyer Express ATR’s? They had Club Europe at the back so that the premium passengers could disembark first, felt very strange being in Business at the back! Wonder if bmi are doing the same?

    Don’t like it either.

They had a pretty distinct livery before, now it looks like all the rest out there. Nothing unusual about it in my opinion.

How can they afford paint jobs anyway???

Its getting crazy at EMA with parking etc.

Have you seen the latest hike in short-stay prices? At one time you leave your car in the short stay for a long weekend and it wouldn’t cost much more than the long stay. Now you need a small mortgage for more than 5 minutes there, its obscene!
