I flew on OOOB years ago when with AMM.

Well ‘OB’ was knacked when I worked on it back in ’96! God knows what it must be like now! Presume they’ll have had the loo’s fixed since then :p

I heard rumours of this outfit now using an A310? Apparently, they had a pic of an A310 in Flywho livery at the World Travel Market last week.

Surely its pushing it for non-stop op’s from BHX to SFB on an A310 isn’t it? Anyone know anything about their fleet plans or who might be subbing this aircraft?

    Whiskey Delta,

When I say tradtion with window blinds, I mean that here in the UK its something we don’t do. Blinds have to be open for take off and landing, where as US airlines don’t seem to mind if they are open or closed! Just an observation. I see so many US aircraft landing and taking off with them closed!

    Excellent shots WD!

Is it me, or does the Independance Air look like there’s no one actually on board? Not a single window blind closed and that seems a tradtion in the US for take off and landing. 😉

Anyone heard how they’re doing on passenger numbers etc?

Thank god you’ve cleared that up OneLeft! I’ve never worked on the A321 so I don’t know. I guess I’m comparing to what I know having been on the B757 etc.

I’m just picturing and A320 with wooden airstairs, the mind boggles! lol!

Airbus do have optional Stars on the front exit dont they?

I think your right andrew. Doesn’t EZY have airstairs on the A319’s? I think its part of their quick turnaround policy to not use steps and use the aircraft’s own stairs isn’t it? I know thats the policy with bmibaby for sure.

I’m not sure they’d have them on the 321 though. If they did, you’d think it would be Doors 1 not 2.

The evacuation slide should be inside the cabin, packed into the door so I can’t imagine it would be that. By opening the door in armed mode, it would rip the slide out and deploy it. If it was external, it would be totally mechanical operation, not good.

As far as I know, the A321’s don’t have in-built airstairs eithers.

Maybe its for stashing over-sized hand luggage! lol!!! :p :p :p

They do seem to chop and change their routes like no ones business don’t they!

I know it wouldn’t give me much confidence in booking something incase they’d ditched it by the time it came for me to travel. Still, and before anyone raises the subject, I know they can’t operate non-profitable routes but it does make you wonder how good their route analysis is before they start them!
