    why do you say that?

The 500’s are notorious as being the worst of the fleet, always tech or something bashed into them like baggage trucks etc.

The crew hate them, bad galley designs etc. My baby cabin crew friend had a slow decompression on a 500 only a couple of weeks back. Strange though, I thought the 500’s were newer than the original 300’s in the fleet.

Airbusbaby, was Eve Cattermole, ex of Dan Air, something to do with Classic Airways?

    1L.

Rings a bell 1L, although I can’t say I know her. The CCM was a lovely lady called Bev Stratful, she’s now with EZY so I heard. The rest of the Management were really a nice bunch too.

Again, I’ve not really had a good one. The worst I ever had was Nordic European stepping in when Ambassador went bust and I was due to fly BHX-TFS, turned up at BHX to be told they’d gone bust that morning but not to worry cos some Swedish airline was coming to take us to TFS. Turned out to be a clapt out old 73-something with no IFE and a lettuce leaf in a cardboard box to eat.

The other experience that springs to mind was bmibaby back from AGP one evening. Walked off the bus to be confronted with one of the most notorious bmi mainline F100’s in the fleet. Had a totally pee’d off mainline LHR crew (they didn’t like having to do flights for baby) and the propect of 2hrs 55mins on the last row with my ears ringing for england desperately trying to make it home to EMA!

If BMed were given LHR-Lima they would use the A320! That airline treats the 320 as though it were an intercontinental long-hauler. I mean Tehran, Khartoum, they want to stick to flying them no further than Beirut!

    LMAO!!!

    Classic! I love it! 😀

Do you remember when BMed had First Class on the A320 before they became a BA franchise? Now that was interesting to see!

LOL @ Andy! bmi are in Star, Vigin is in wot? LOL
OK They will codeshare on the MAN-LAS flights but thats all.

Virgin do actually codeshare on some of bmi’s other services like MAD and LIN and some domestics. Its not a well known fact, and you won’t see the VSXXXX flight numbers on the arrivals board, but they are in the CRS systems and you can book Virgin from LHR to MAD and you’ll be on BD aircraft. This has been going on for years.
