Nice pics, but the livery of BWI is strange indeed.
The last part shows a lame excuse. They did train, but maybe not enough and against another opponent.
Are there just political reasons, why India retired from a promised air exercise in Israel 2005?
And that shows a definite leadership problem – or does it ??
Let me shine some light into the discussion.
The F-15s were not AESA equipped that is fact and was known from the start of the excersise.
The question is not what missiles were carried or used but how they were simulated in use. While the F-15C for example carried AMRAAMS they were used like AIM-7s and with limited range.
We don´t know exactly what missiles the IAF simulated. For example the M2Ks could simulate the MICA while not actually carrying them yet. Or the SU-30 could simulate the R-77 while not actually carrying them.
I personally doubt the story about the M2K using the Mica however.
More intersting is what the article says about the USAF and the leadership. USAF pilots were arrogant and overconfident. They underestiminated the IAF and the planes they fly. They underestiminated the tactical flexibility of the IAF and their pilots.
And if they really don´t train to fight against ARH AAM equipped oponents, then there training schedule is seriously flawed.
Could you stop the stupid A vs B debate ??

Not for cigarettes anymore. It is not worth the hassle. I know people who laways return suitcases full off cigarettes from the Canary Islands.

Well in the german Flug Revue there is again an article about the A350. I think we can be save that this will be the next Airbus project.

Given the strategic and tactical situation the IN is facing I wonder why there is emphasis on a long range ASuW capability. Few if any possible opponents can match the surface strike power of an IN carrier battle group supported by long range aviation units and strong surface combatants. This force is strong enough to deal with any surface threat in the region.
However many nations are equipped with modern SSKs that could be used to interdict shipping to India or an Indian surface battle group. So the main focsu should be a hunter submarine. An SSN would be the best, but as those are not available an AIP SSK seems the best choice. In that case my choice would be the german U214.
If you want to carry huge missiles then go for a land attack cruise missile.
