I would think the Sub would be of the U214 type.

The last sentence makes Malaysia the winner form e. When travelling economy, I want the best and most comfortable seats available. I can go without food for 8-10 hours (something is always consumable), I can also live with being ingnored by the cabin crew for that period, but I want to sit as comfortable as possible during hte long hours.

What was he doing reading porn in flight in the first place? Surely the Braathens inflight magazine provides sufficient excitement?!

Perhaps it was the inflight magazine 😮

The last time they did it they forgot a very importamt part. Something with fuelpressure release… Not sure.

Anyway… I doubt that the Turks will go on with the old phantoms… Everything has its limits…

Not really. The airframe of the F-4 is built really strong. Ok there are parts that are worn out, but the base is there. Some 1970s F-4 might have more life in the airframe left, then some early block F-16s.

Sometimes you wish for an emergency passenger relase hatch for inflight use.

Possible as stupid as the fake bomb platend by another reporter before the Olympics. It did contain some wire, some cables and some nails. I mean if they would have removed all that from the site, how on earth should they ever finish the buildings ??

We had a simliar case in Germany i which a man was able to smuggle a packet on knead (to simulate platic explosives) onto a plane. However I´m not sure how you would destroy a plane using knead. “Everybody freeze I have some knead. Everybody who does not comply will be hit by deadly pellets of hand rolled knead bullets !!” Doubt it works.

Fantastic shots, especially the silhouette of the IB climbing out! DUS looks like an excellent airport for spotting/photography judging by that lot. Lots of good vantage points, or is there a well placed viewing terrace or something?

Well DUS has 2 good viewing terraces. One is on the airport railway station and one on the main terminal. The good thing is that one is on the eastern end and one near the western end of the main runway and both are facing more or less to the north. So you get a good chance nearly the whole day, regardless of wind conditions. It costs 2 Euros for a whole day of access on both terraces, including transfer with the airports skytrain service.

And there are a lot of spots arounf the perimeter that are also usefull. But only the terraces offer perfect coverage of take-offs and landings on both runways.
