The lections are on sundy here
I think it was do or die for both sides.
Serviceability of the Mil fleet has become less then satifactonyry for Mexico. The support, when compared to western types, was non existent according the Mexican AF sources.
Transporting the planes back to Russia for overhaul was extremely expensive and did cut deeply into the rather limited budget available.
So the Mexicans looked at dropping the Mil fleet in the near future (bad as they are quite new), while the Russians faced a really probable loss of the south and central american market if Mexico would decide on such move.
That deal is a godsend for both sides.
So in Russia we have the MiG-AT, YAK-130 and SU-52 ??
What a crazy way to waste money.
Ronny was a good president. Imho. I was hard against communism, but I think he did only few really stupid things. One of the better US presidents for sure. I think better then most that came after him.
I think they are talking about the Mexican service and possibly kit assembly factory for the Mil-8 and Mil-17s.
Which would be helpfull to both sides. As Mexico could service the russian helicopters fully and could also provide much neede support to other south and central american customers. It is possible that new helicopters destined for such clients could be assembled in Mexico.
And that plane would have nothing in common with a 707. except that both have 4 engines. 😀
At least I have adjusted my work schedule so that I can go on Friday or Saturday. So I hope one day will be dry – at least.
Bet you won´t be the only one. Just hope for good weather
Thx for the news.

Good luck my friend.
Just give all you can and everything will be fine.
Seen it too. A black dot on the sun.
Searching for the Jaguar inside.
At least on the upgrades pf the F-5 and AMX. The upgrade programms are set and there are no Russian weapons planned.
