Great news on the radar. Impressive numbers.
MiG-29 often looked but, but they did function. They did not develop cracks in the airframes like some much better looking western fighters.
They were not sexy looking, but they performed. 365 days a year – every year.
When it comes to reliability russian equipment is the best around. If it is serviced correctly and the overhauls are done by the right firms, then those planes are the best you can get.
The principles by which a civilian consumer automotive company operates to maximize sales are irrelevant to the principles of aerodynamics. You must demonstrate, rather than assert, that there’s any connection between the two. Finish is nice, but totally irrelevant to performance.
Indeed finsih on weapons ist totally unimportant. The weapon most work when needed. It must work under all conditions and with as little maintenance as possible.
And there big screws and stable doors are much more important then perfect fit and nice looks.
The russian way is amining to make the weapon work and not look nice.
And not such stupid approaches like the west is doing, when you can´t open the access door without having to repaint the stealth coating.
If this rough look does not mean that they were equally carelees with the important components I see no reason why that should be bad.
No sucky A320 for Comndor plz. I want to fly with them in the summer and the reason I choose them was that they are flying B753s. I hate A320 in charter configuration, they are awfull.
200 MiG-29 for Algeria ?? Seems a bit excessive to me.
I really would hop so. The MiG-29 SMT is the best multi-role fighter in the world if look at bang for money. Would be great news for MiG and could be an important step for a future Indian purchase of the plane.
Great news. Can´t wait to see them in service.
turbines ?
nah, just airbus trying to get some publicity.
Performance wise, boeing will have no threats against the 7E7 for some time. but, with the tactics of airbus’ sales team theres no telling.
That will have to be seen. Much depends on the enigines of the 7E7. If those “electric” engines will work, then the 7E7 will get a much bigger lead then without them.
On the other hand Airbaus could also use such engines. PW seems eager to develop their turned down engine proposal for the 7E7 to fit on a new version of the 330.
I really have no idea what the AMC jet was doing. I guess it is another plane flying for LTU.
The telegraph again. Was that not the same newspaper that came up with those huge UK defence cuts some time ago. (Pumas, Harriers, Jaguars, carriers, ..)
Awesome
I know they are doing some flights for LTU at the moment. Destination is changing often.
They got a homepage
Well perhaps with some modifications to the winglets (like on long-range and short-range Dreamliners) it could work.
