Close friend of mine is about to be stationed at McChord, flying the C-17. I asked him about how she flies, and he stated simply that she’s the perfect airplane. She looks like a workhorse that’s for sure. Great photos.

I recognised that spot. I do intend to visit it later this year again, but will do so probably late July early August for a weekend.

Just don´t go if it is too hot. Otherwise you will have so much heat haze, that you will be limited to approach shots. I consider going again in May (if the weather is with me) and in September.
