I would also not like the idea of being burned inside an aircraft.

96 more new planes, of a very sophisticated type, with yet other weapons and AAMs.

Would surely be a nice deal for Dassault and France, as they in service support income would probably exceed the money spent on buying the plane.

The Saudi Air Force is already oversized anyway.

Those are different ships for different roles. The Iowa is perfect for supporting an amphibious landing. Taking out fixed targets with it Tomahawks and blasting any resistiance near the beach with the huge guns.

The Kirov is an ASuW ship. It is designed to engage enemy ships in the open ocean.

So in a 1 on 1 the Kirov would win.

But we should not forget that the Iowa was never put through a real all-round upgrade, but was only upgraded to be efficent in the role describes above.

I think I saw a pic of an F-4 with M118 from the bomb shortage in Nam once.

probably the last pic of that plane in that livery. It will become D-AERS (again) with LTU.

OK – for the very very final time……

Bmused55 and another member received a final warning 7 days ago as a result of their behaviour on the Forum and following a number of complaints about them both from a variety of other members over a sustained period of time

In that warning, among other things, I told them both that if they continued to show disrespect for other members then I would ban them temporarily.

Following this, we continued to receive complaints about Bmused55 – again from more than one member.

Since we had already issued a final warning, we had no option but to impose a ban on Bmused55.

What use is a final warning if it is not final?

I know that Bmused55 is a very popular member of this Forum but that popularity does not exempt him, or anyone else, from the Code of Conduct.

From the above thread, it seems that some of you would like me to moderate in an uneven-handed manner with one set of rules for a self-appointed favoured few, and another set for the rest.

This I will not do under any circumstances. There are no “untouchables” in this Forum, myself and Matthew included.

Judging by my own experience you wonßt be able to keep that up. I thought about it the same way, when I started moderating at antoer forum. (not hard to guess) Regular and old time posters are at risk to be attacked from other posters quite regularly. Especially if their opinions are a problem for some people. It is not unknown that some people will (either use multiple accounts or) bring in friends from other forums to get rid of the person they have decided to pick on.
