Hmmmm. There is a place not far from the old point near the threshold but it happens to be right opposite a building and some antennae which are a right pain. Next point I know is further along again just after the junction at the area where Irish Helicopters used to have a place but I think is now populated by maintenance vehicles. Is this ridged area the place ?
Nice shots on runway 27 for a change. The TACA with dark sky… nice.
Good to see MIA are still getting some nice stuff with decent schemes. Is it still mainly AAL AAL AAL AAL that makes up much of the traffic though ?
Interesting to see the tropical blue colour of the sea reflecting on the undersides of a couple of the BN2s.
Are these shots all actually avoiding the big fence or has it been eliminated with something like Photoshop ?
Nice to see a good old Aztec still on the go. Had much times of fun in them.
Excellent old MIA shots there EC (I see you feature in one too…. the SAHSA 737 includes your shadow cast be the low sun). Nice Ecuador Army sabreliner there too luckily sitting just right for shots. I remember returning to MIA after previously having been treated to a good selection of South American goodies only to find that Iberia DC9s had started doing many of the routes.
How are you scanning these shots ? I mean what sort of resolution are you using and what post scan processing for removing the grain ? What typically do you do with one slide or neg… you know … scan at (whatever resolution)… a bit of colour/contrast correction … some (but not too much) smoothing to eliminate grain ?
Splendid !!
Love the shot with the balloon.
Enjoyed your post. Good narration to a selection of nostalgic niceties.
Very nice selection of goodies in nice schemes.
Nice shots. I like the first balloon shot and the one of Caldecotte Lake
A good day for DUB.
Is that SUNSHINE I see too ??
Good selection.
Is that SUNSHINE I see too ??
Good selection.
Nice wee jetranger
Nice selection there. Did you have to do quite a lot afterwards to the shots to overcome the nasty tinted windows when shot from terminal ?
