Can’t help wondering what became of the pilot?
Now its been officially found, that P40 is facing its most uncertain & dangerous time since WW2, the vultures will be gathering to pick her clean & the bickering over ownership & purchase will commence.
I bet the Princess won π
.
π If they were holding a highly unlawful street race, then I would gladly take you up on that bet, the GSX1100ET was one of the worlds fastest production bikes of its era-
Whereas the Princess….well…. let us just say it was not one of the worlds fastest production cars of its era π

I too am hoping that these are real, only time shall tell I guess.
If it is real, & if it is discovered, I think it would be sort of neat to display it in ‘as found’ condition.
could host the event at Newquay airport, lots of room, could knock up a great circuit in no time, and it wouldn’t affect flying ops at all, you could hold the whole event quite easily between flights (inc practice and qualifying) lol π

At RAF Brawdy with a nice ‘classic’ collection of airmens heaps in background
Same the RAF world over, the Motor Club is where cars go to die π

On similar lines to Andys story….
When my Dad died a few years back I had to do all the usual admin, one of which was telling all the utilities, Electric & Gas- no problem, all done over the phone, Water however was a different matter, they kept asking to talk to the account holder, even though I had made it perfectly clear he’d left this mortal coil, ending up with me suggesting we held a sΓ©ance!
Fortunately a supervisor was found to sort things out

a test does not mean one rider is better than another !!
Well, it does mean that a ‘tested’ rider can (legally) ride superior machines to the non-tested rider.
Get it sorted Tornado.
Oh and she sounded lovely π
Awesome Bazv, nice machine π

There was also an oiling problem with the con-rods if IIRC.
Got to say that I never owned a Honda & never wanted to either, saw a lot of cam chain & tensioner trouble back in the 80’s.
Did repair an electronic ignition unit for a CBX 6 using components robbed from a CB250N unit once though, but that is a completely different story π
