Just for a spot of thread R&R 😀

Used to own a 500, a Yammy XT500, one of my all time favourites, lots of fun, one of the few bikes that I actually miss.

A mate who was on HMS Argonaut during the Falklands Conflict has lent me his photo album & scrapbook of his experiences, some amazing stuff, including pictures of UXB deep inside the ship, the smouldering remains of HMS Antelope, the considerable damage inflicted to Argonaut during sustained air attacks, the Herculean effort to effect repairs to Argonaut & voyage back to Devonport.

We are about the same age,& while he was under attack by the Argies, I was sodding about at college 😮

i was lumbered with a kwak tripple

Oh man, the storys (true, honest injun’) that I could relay about those things 😀
mainly involving my old mate from college ‘Martin’ & his collection of Kwacker triples H1E, H2A/B & C, he was clearly mad & escaped death on many occasions 😮

BTW if you ride bikes now I hope you are not daft enough to dress like that!

as a biker i think it is disgusting not stopping if only to check another biker was ok but i myself am a trained first aider too

Yeah, most odd  As a biker (well, not for a while, but I know the score), not stopping to at least check that the chap is ok is very poor form, & possibly unlawful to boot.

Still, hopefully it was just his pride that was bruised.

    ps-

    A younger/slimmer Dr S, with a real GSX, the GSX1100ET 😉
