There was a movie here in Auss called Mystery of the Stinston or something like that.Had a Stinston trimotor in it I think.Tornado in Highlander(not really vintage though).

You go girl!!The adventure is sometimes more important than the destination. If there wasn,t any risk no one would have any excitement would they. And even if all you found was a crusty old Cessna. At least you found something.Sitting on your heiny ain,t gonna get you anywhere.Just keep us up to date on things.Cheers.

Think it has to do with the airframe hours.A new aircraft would have virtually no metal fatigue in it where an original WW2 aircraft would have been pushed to the limits in certain times in it,s career. Is,nt there a similar situation with “Glacier Girl” as a lot of the exsisting structure survived in the rebuild.

Another way is to get onside with someone with a lazer cutter. They can have the settings down low so the beam will just etch the surface.Another way is photoetching where plate around the text is painted black and then the item is dipped in an acid solution. The text gets etched away leaving the black plate behind it untouched. Most electronic stores have hobby sets for photoetching eloctronic boards.Cheers guys.

Was talking to Matt Denning about keeping her clean a long while ago and because of our indegionous insect population the shiny paint makes it a bit easier to maintain. Not historically correct but when you try wash off a million kamikazi flies, mosquitos(the insect kind),locusts, bugs, beetles etc the shiney paint makes it so much easier.
