Covers
Stunning photos of the gun covers..Were there different types used for the different gun packs?Am doing a flight sim cockpit of a K model for a good friend and was just wondering.
Plastic seats can be replicated using fibreglass for a static…
The gun actually sits in front of the pilot, well the breech part anyway..The gun barrel sits high up under the V and then through the reduction gearbox exiting the hub.
Geez my Indicator is plastic and is 1% the price…Or is my math wrong LOL…
Couple pics Ive been sent by Rocketeer over the years.

With a lot of hammering…Hopefully this explains it a bit.

looking for the rods to connect the chains up on my Hurricane control column. They are currently connected with garden wire! Do not have to be original parts just want something that will do the job beter than the wire.
Think they are just 1/4″ rod with a Rh and Lh thread at either end..The hawker Demon uses the same setup.
This is what i use for Zinc plating. it cost maybe $50 au to set up and works great.

Owe you a beer for that!! Thanks 😉
With Bakelite being expensive to reproduce nylon and other resins being used as a printing medium 3D parts will become the norm in kind..The other way I have used it is as a casting master for aluminium.Have been successful with a spitfire canon spade grip and also a tube casting end for a Hawker Demon project using 3D that way..
With original parts becoming scarce I think leave the good parts for the fliers and collectors and static aircraft can use facsimiles that fill the hole..
I,m flat out designing rare and expensive parts that are impossible to find anymore. Here are some CAC Boomerang ammo counters I did for a few guys and also some Spitfire stuff for our MkV project

Tis the season to be Jolly..Damn nice project as I see it.From one who is building a Spit that’s not original but metal but not a replica 🙂 Never been a fan of knocking other peoples passion for the project they put their money and hard work into.
You know now you have to your whole collection 🙂
Beautiful panel.Yes looks MkIX or earlier MkV.
If you can find a set of tyre fitter levers for a good set of metal slappers/spoons.Come up a treat with a good polish.
Wasn’t Mike Houlder here doing a 3D Lanc interior off original Lanc drawings?
