I,m wondering why haven’t Time Team been contacted. With their expertise and knowledge as well as the proper equipment they should find something.
Hi Ross
Does Jack still have the many spare fuselage etc joints that he acquired some years ago, & if so, would any of them be available ?.
Bob T.
Hi Bob yes there are boxes full of extra stuff but will have to check if they are available.Been unwell with anxiety this last week to do much at all.

This is what I came up with…
Ooowwww..Not the easiest plane to fly unfortunately. In the early days of Australian Military flying they used a Deperdussin briefly till it came to grief. It then became a short winged taxying trainer…
Excellent run down Pete thank you….:)
Merlin Pete, shall be your guide Ross, as I believe he was involved in just such a conversion.
Thanks Stuart..Yes somewhere in the endless gaps in my memory can recall Pete did such a job..PEEEEEEEEEEETEEEEEEEE where art though !! 🙂

Thanks mate..Maybe Ill design something like an adaptor plate to suit…Cheers 😉
What would be the interchange process be to convert a meteor into a static Merlin 45.We already have a single stage supercharger and carb to suit..
Sorry to drag this corpse out of the ground but have a couple of scifi control column top pics that need identifying..
Plus they are busy getting the Hurricane airborne.
I thought Jack’s Demon was further along that this, as I saw a photo of the fuselage in a hangar some years ago & it looked fairly complete.
It was 🙂 Due to being near the coast a lot of the untreated aluminium tubes and bits and pieces had started to really suffer with corrosion. Our Project leader decided it prudent we do a full tear down to arrest the current and future corrosion problems.Plus it gave us a chance to Bling up all those lovely stainless pieces 🙂
