Gents
I’ve been told that only two (XV221 & XV301) are there to be scrapped. More could follow.

I was told that the FAAM at Yeovilton were offered a Jetstream T-2 but they declined the offer. After so many years of service you would have thought they could have found some space to display one.

Stunning photos. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Prince Charles
Pageno1
Prince Charles had a one hour thirty minute sortie in XL500 from RNAS Yeovilton, on October 18th 1972. That was his one and only flight in a Gannet AEW-3. This was the reason why he agreed to become Patron of the Gannet AEW-3 project.
He did have a flight in a Gannet T-5 (XG889) on the same day, which he landed from the centre cockpit. The pilot on both flights was Lt Cdr Tim Goetz.

Morning gents
Reading this made me think about the Sea Prince WP321, which was reported as being brought back to airworthy condition. What progress been made on this project?
Cheers
Hunty 😎
I’ve read that the Sea Devon (XK895) was recently dismantled at Kemble and was is due to be moved by road to the Airbase museum. Do you know if this aircraft will be for static display, or will it be brought back to airworthy condition.
Cheers

I think you’ll find the company flying out of Honolulu is named ATAC. The servicing, repair and finding spares for the Hunter is not a problem, if you know where to look.

The aircraft looks to be in excellent condition and a credit to every one associated with it.
Thanks for sharing these photos with us.

Congratulations to all the guys who have been part of this project. The video clip showed that all your hard work was worthwhile and its so nice to see her moving under her own power once again.

It might be worth trying the web-site PPRuNe and then go to military aircrew section. Hope this helps

Howard 500
I’m informed she was due to depart Exeter at 13.00 hrs on Tuesday, but as far as I know she had not. . Maybe there’s someone out there who can come up with the latest info on this aircraft?

Another avenue you might want to try is the Flight Deck Operations/Dummy Deck unit at RNAS Culdrose. They used the Harrier GR3 and T-4s before they were replaced by the Sea Harriers.
Best of luck

Thanks guys, I’ve made contact.
