    XL573

Just about to depart from Exeter is XL573. She has a 12 Squadron badge just below the cockpit because this is one of her former Squadrons.

    Nice

    Stunner

The most stunning Hunter on the air show circuit was F-6A XF516 Anyone who watched her display at Kemble in 2001 will remember those slow rolls and the distinctive blue note sound she made. Well done BJ.

The aircraft in question was G-BWGL. This aircraft is a Mk T-8C and its military serial was XF357. The aircraft is now painted in the markings of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, with the serial “N-321”. The aircraft is owned by the Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation and it was on a test flight from Exeter.

    Hope this helps.

    Airworthy GA-11

    Hi

For anyone interested, there’s still one GA-11 curently airworthy in the UK.
The aircraft is XE685 and its still retains its FRADU markings and code, which is 861. The aircraft is based at Exeter Airport and is part of the Hunter Flying Ltd fleet.

Also part of Hunter Flying’s fleet is former FRADU Hunter PR-11 WT723. This aircraft is currently painted up in Black Arrows markings and marked up as “XG194”. This was to mark the 50th anniversary of the famous 22 Hunter loop at Farnboriugh in 1958. This aircraft is the oldest Hunter still flying in the world today.

    Hi

A team from Hunter Flying Ltd have been working tirelessly over the past few months to prepare the aircraft ready for delivery to the DHHF. This has resulted in a number of test flights being performed, with Brian Grant at the controls.

This will be the second Hunter in the DHHF fleet. Its joins T-8C G-BWGL
(N321), which was delivered from Exeter to Leeuwarden in May 2007.

These aircraft are based at Leeuwarden and they are serviced and maintained by Hunter Flying Ltd.

    Speculation

    Evening everyone

There has been a lot of speculation with regard to Hunter Flying and the forthcoming arrivals due at Exeter.

The facts are. The Mig-17 (only one) will not be flying into Exeter, but it will be arriving by road. The same goes for the Strikemaster. The Gannet is still in an ongoing situation and negotiations are still continuing. At this moment in time, no decision has been taken as to when this aircraft will be arriving.

One final thought. Don’t believe everything you read in the press.
