    Great to read that.

Some members of our museum including me were invited by the RNethAF
to visit the work being carried out there. The amount of wreckage was staggering, also the devastation the airframe had to suffer.
Some parts have been incorporated into my project.

    Correction,

The last complete Halifax was scrapped in 1973 in Argentina. According to Ken Merricks updated book.

Craig Charleston did find some substantial RAF Mustang bits some years ago IIRC, and sent it to the USA. Now flying I think.

Better chance the serial in the topic header, it’s misleading.

I fully agree, it’s what you want and then go for it. I have been working on that Halifax project for 11 years now. If I knew then what I know now I probably would have quit very soon after, but with hindsight it has all been worth it.

You just have to set a goal and then go from there, it takes money as well and lots of it, but what else will you do with it. Put it in the bank, throw it to the Lesbians, drink it all????:D

The first digit of the serial number on the document I have is slightly smudged. It may be an H? Does that work?

    Nope

The Matchbox Wellington box art really caught my attention at the time.

John Young’s work is fantastic as well, but all mentioned above are. Robert Taylor does seem to suffer from the Lancaster, Spitfire, Hurricane syndrome.
