Listen Carefully?
He will say this only once?

Who knows, if the thump on the beach is hard enough more submerged wrecks will come to light.

I talked to Ken in his radioshack during my visit to YAM. and he indeed knows a lot about radio’s etc. Very nice chap too.

Why is it that if someone makes such a remark that everyone does their utmost best to lay praise all over this topic, as if the team would drop everthing
and leave. If someone has a different view that does nothing to degrade the work the team are doing on this Meteor. So two Meteors have had or are having TLC
laid onto them. When I visited YAM last November I was standing next to it and thought why is it standing here so sad in a pool of water. Now it is being worked on,
great isn’t it.
Forget the rest.

Amazing progress especially considering the wreck they started with. Pity the CJFM is closing. Those volunteers are really craftsmen.

Any pics of W1048 stored in the carpark by any chance?
Cees
Any info about your project (pics pics pics please), it would be nice if you could start a thread about it. The forum can help you out along the
way as it has with my cockpit projects.

I’m all for it to give a balanced vision of what happend then.
Has any Italian aircraft investigation ever taken place in the UK?
Cees
So then the hunt will be on to find an Italian wreck to list the fallen Italians.

Thanks for posting John,
That is a real milestone to see the flight deck almost complete. As is acceptance by the BAPC. Will the cockpit have an identity?
Cees
That is correct Jerry,
I have one photograph in the book by Robert Kirby showing only a general view of the area.
Together with the Lancaster information a passable structure must be possible.:D
Cees
Yes, they help very well. I’m interesed in the other ones too.
Thanks very much.
I am converting the 1/32 HK Models Lancaster. This was the mock up that was a Telford for two consecutive years.
The Lancaster kit is not ready yet but they are working hard on it. I always had a soft spot for the twin engined
forebear and I love hacking plastic about.

So, the Wimpy in the photograph has the turret removed and replaced by the wood and fabric covered fairing, but keeping the aerodynamic blister originally intended for the
fn5 in place.
