Indeed, you can see the diagonal lines in the fairing (which is in store at Cosford presumably), in the pic Clive sent it looks like diagonal lines too, or this is an illusion
    caused by the photographs grain.

Here’s a pic by Peter Arnold showing the nose fairing from MF628 before the conversion.

I cannot help but wonder how futuristic the Victor still looks. Good to see it receiving some much needed TLC.

    Hi Matt,
I cannot help you with a repair manual but I do have a HS bracket type prop manual. If you can use it I will donate it to the project.
    Cheers

    Ian,
Took some pics of that mainspar section for you. Hope they are of use to you. The part is bolted to the Undercarriage mount so will need some
heavy dismantling. Will have to talk to the technical chaps to see if that is possible.

Would be nice to find a complete wing in a hedge someday. Is that a true story, or too good to be true?

I doubt that as only Johan and I decide what is surplus and what not. We know of course that this part is very important to the Stirling Project.
I will have a further look this saturday.

    Hi Kevin,
Are you sure it’s stolen? Johan and I spent some time to look for it in our stores and indeed could not find it. Theft is impossible with 1,5 metre thick walls and heavy doors being an old fortress from 1895. Are you sure it wasn’t already loaned to the project?
    Cheers
