Is Ray Milnthorpes’s nosesection connected (hypothetically speaking) with the substantial sections imported from Oz years ago?

Good news as the forum will be restaring again soon. Mathieu (forumite Sonderman) is taking over. There was so much important information on that forum about Dutch aviation history.
Well done.

I thought once about fitting Rebecca aearials to the Halifax cockpit. But female visitors would have some difficulty negotiating the small walkway area between the cockpit and the wall without leaving bits of skirt behind. Others wouldn’t mind I think:angel:

Thanks Dave,
The work they have done to reconstruct the B24 is amazing. Fantastic job.
Now get that Lincoln back in one piece.

Fuel or engine controls? The first two pics look very similar to the system used in the Bloctube operating system as used by the British.

John/David,
Did you also had the items from BK710 such as the brow section and part of the lower canopy framing. When I got it the latter up from the lake it looked quite complicated.

I am very curious what the plans are for Halifax cockpit PN323. When I saw it in november 2014 it was completely gutted.

Ahh nice work Elliott,
I was very curious about the centre section. I very much like the spidery structure of it.
Cheers

I know that of course, and the magnificent work done by Elliott and his team stand on a high level.
Was just asking what keeps Elliott motivated. :eagerness:

I got one about ten years ago, it was made from resin impregnated cloth or something similar. Peter van Gelderen has it now fitted on his Stirling cockpit.
strangely it had a horizontal seam while a Whitly we found bits of had a vertical seam.

It has been very quiet the past few years regarding imports from the east. Has the source dried out?
I was always under the impression that first they would sell the wrecks and then the better stuff.
Heard some rumours over the years about impressive stocks but nothing was ever confirmed. No not
talking about the Stirling:D

New movie about Dunkirk
I read that Christopher Nolan is about to begin on a movie about the Dunkirk evacuation. Filming is to be on the site itself. This must also have a bit of aerial footage I would think.
So Hurricanes, Spitfires and Messerschmitts will be no problem to source but the Heinkel, Dornier and Junkers will.
Options are CGI or mock ups, any info from those in the know?

Elliott,
Just an observation but the Whitley Project is very busy in many fields. Recovery, conservation, reconstruction of all things Whitley such as wings, undercarriage, props, nose turret.
Apart from the early stages of started work on the wingbox am I correct that there isn’t a focal point to get some section reconstructed first such as the cockpit section and work from there?
I know you have a huge project on your hands for the past twenty years or so. How do you keep yourself motivated?
Cheers
