    IIRC some year ago there was a mention in the aviation press that on a remote airfield in Sri Lanka there was a twinengined aircraft claimed to be a Beaufighter.

    The cockpit section now sports 13 mission symbols.

    One for each year since I started collecting parts.

    Andy,

    Received my copy yesterday evening.

    Just finished reading it all and you have got it absolutely right. A perfect balance between the personal story as well as the technical journey to make the Spit as authentic as possible. And, giving a very clear explanation about provenance and authenticity.
