    Hang on John,

I still have that Stirling servo lying in the shed. As soon as I have found a box strong enough I send it over.
    It’s heavy.

The article in the IIRC March1983 issue of Flypast was one of my favorites. I must have read it a million times. G-FIRE was my fav Spit too.

There is also footage of a Halifax with a jeep and gun for dropping trails. It didn’t go as planned and the gun’s chute failed to open. It plunged into the ground, the jeep did make a controlled descend however. Hally’s also carried spare Bristol Hercules engines in the bombbays.

Versatile aircraft, the Halifax that is. But then again I am biased:p

There are actually two volumes about the Blenheim rebuild. Part two deals with both restorations.

I can understand the problem of people holding on to their Typhoon parts. But how about pooling resources such as information, drawing to be able to construct wings? IIRC that happened with the Boomerang and several are now flying with many others in the pipeline.

Home is the Halifax about the reconstruction of YAM’s Halifax
Spirit of Val about Tony Agars Mossie

Personally I love these subjects, about the recovery, restoration and anything else.
There is also a book about the restoration of P38 Joltin’Josie
A book about the history and recovery of the RAF Museum’s Hurricane wreck

Hmm yes, probably. Some years ago I made an attempt to collect all bits and pieces for a Hampden panel. I stopped because of the fuel gauges and sold the lot. I had a full set of flap gauges and the Mk VIII oxygen indicator in excellent condition for a fair priece, all found locally. Perhaps I should be patient and just wait;)
Any luck with the boost gauge Alan?

I agree and as that price as you say is “still expensive, but a bit more like it”, i’d likely be happy to pay that amount, i’d just have to find where.

    Bomberboy,

Don’t look any further. I have a hard back signed copy by Robert Rudhall about the making of the film. PM me if you are interested.

    Hi Dave,

Nope, nothing. Please post the pic in this tread.

Just to be sure, I am working on just (nah just) an Hampden instrument panel and part of the frame it is fitted onto. Some drawings are underway from the IWM who have been very helpful.

I am looking forward to the pic,
