I’d rather see a pair of Hastings wings on the Hermes fuselage.

Very nice work,
The early single seater vampires are real lookers.

Here’s mine,
I converted a Tamiya Grand Slam Lancaster into Manchester I A L7518. The remains of which we recovered in 2000.
The engine nacelles were made from Miliput.
What model conversion are you using.
Cees
Correct me if I’m wrong but the wing centre section and the outer wings are very similar to the Halifax (I was told they carry the same 57 prefixes) . But the intermediate wingsection between the centre section and the outer wings is a bit wider than the Halifax.
So why not, YAM did it. Why not doing it again, and Karl is planning to build two sets of wings. So if any museum is interested in a Halifax reconstruction.
Now is your chance!!!
Cees
Yes, that would be great but are there any contenders other than EF311 in the Channel? That one is too far gone for restoration.
Cees
Any info on the fraser nash tail turret they are restoring?
Cees
Bob,
With such a project you don’t need to be in a hurry and why should you.
The whole process of it is totally enjoying, it has it’s nasty times (speaking from experience) but it’s worthwhile in the end and you will be filling a gap.
Go for it, and surprise the naysayers.
Cheers
Cees
Good to see these two aircraft being restored to fly.
There are plenty of remains in Australia with true RAAF provenance to fill the gap.
You should really read a certain book about it…;)
Cees
Sorry chaps,:o
Forgot to mention in my first post that it was reported in Classic Wings Magazine. Dave McDonald, can you enlighten us further?
Cees
Alex,
The work you have been doing on the Whitley made me learn much more about the Whitley’s interior than ever before.
Makes me want to start a Whitley too, nearly finished my Manchester conversion by chopping up a Grand Slam Lanc.
Cheers

Stirling
Hindenbuuuuuuuuuuuuurg!!!
What is it with all these seats turing up suddenly?
Cees
Where are these things when you need one.
It’s a Halifax pilot’s seat.
Cees
Quick question,
Does frame 11 have any link to provenance?
Cees
Hi all,
Got my copy on friday, a very pleasant surprise when I got home from work. I have been reading since and it’s hard to put down asl there is so much information in it. Especially the new entries compared to the previous volume.
I recommend it and can’t wait until volume two is out.
Well done chaps.
Cees
It was a seperate project, the owner got bogged down into his own perfectionism. He even was busy solving the many anomalies in the drawings, he couldn’t live with a 1 mm discrepany. Pity as a lot of money has been spent on it.
