Bruce,
You were the first I thought about regarding the plugs when I saw some in your e-store. I will take some pics this next wednesday and post them here. I think they are general issue as well.

Hi Martin,
No, the junction box you see is completely new made using photographs taken by me and Elliott inside PN323 at IWM Lambeth and sockets I had from a Halifax electrical panel (which itself was in bad condition) as well as some I got from Alan. Next problem to solve is to find the plugs that fit onto them to complete the wiring. That job alone (apart from finding the plugs) will take a lot of time as well.
Do you have any Halifax junction boxes then Martin? Any idea where to find the various plugs (two, five, seven, eleven etc. pins)

Peter,
Don’t be, you have been a big help.

Well, it didn’t fit but for just a panel it’s sufficient.;)
I was told (don’t know the source at the moment) that it was drawn according to the
exact dimensions the NA337 team provided. But the CNC operator made the panel just
a bit smaller to fit the machine.
All parts in the cockpit have been made according to the drawings and it turned out
the panel was to short and lacked sufficient height to fit.
That’s all I know.

Amazing progress since the picture in the current Flypast Cees well done! Is that stll the same panel I sent you?
Hi Peter,
Errr no, it’s not. That one was too small by about an inch overall. Later I got an original drawing from Harry and used that to have a new one made.

No Problem Peter,
Thanks for you kind help anyway. Here are some pics taken a few weeks ago by Frank Hop. Thanks Frank.
Progress has been extremely rapid these past few months.

John,
Yes, business as usual again.:o
I noticed that the pics are missing.
Peter,
Can this be done? Otherwise I will start posting
pics as of today. Don’t have all old pics handy.
Cees
Hi all,
Yes, at my request Peter had removed the thread due to “issues”, they have been solved now (for good I hope) and I will post some updated pics soon.
By the way, the pic in FlyPast was taken in early May;)
Thanks for you help Peter.

Laurent,
So it has changed hands now? I have been in contact about this panel several times with the previous owner (or the one before that). I was told it crashed near Calais. You are the custiodian now, be gentle with it and treat it right:)
It has the looks of an early Halifax version as the hole for the bomb steering indicator is present, but this version was also used on the Mk III so 1944 would fit.

There is another Battle in Belgium?
That’s news to me.
I have a feeling the UK example is a nono-subject.
TheRAFM example is back at Hendon I read, is it fully assemble
now?
How about a Battle thread:rolleyes:
Cees
Danke Mathias,
That would be nice to see this project progress over the years.

What are the plans with the ex-Jaquard FW190 which ditched during the summer and is now with Meier Motors as well?
Will it be fully restored to fly or made static

IIRC he also did a 1/48 Stirling and Manchester. Haven’t seen any detailspics of these.
Great modelmaking although to nitpick (hey it’s a Halifax), the canopy framing is a bit off making it too high and flat at the top, but who cares, it’s a masterpiece. He even added the “ditching exit” text above the pilot’s head. Let’s hope Trumpeter brings out a good quality Halifax, and whatever RAF heavy as well, the Wellington is gorgeous.

If RAFM is going to “restore “the Do17 then I feel a future heavy debate coming up regarding a well known subject:rolleyes:
Cees..
We are carrying out a Whitley recovery next year. You’d be welcome to film if you are interested. Just drop me a pm – cheers
Now, that’s exciting.:eek::)
