Thanks a lot, someone mentioned that it might be this bank holiday monday and it got me thinking!
Cheers, Scott.
It’s truly random and suprising!
Don’t have any subscriptions and don’t bother buying…….
Great thing to say on the FlyPast forum!!!! lol… 😉
To be fair, I don’t have the cash to spare, or the time to sit and read, so I don’t buy reguarly or subscribe either…
I do buy one now and again, only if going on holday and am going to have the time to read through them. But like the original post says, I’d only buy one that I can flick through in the shop first.
Cheers, Scott.

More photos
Hi all,
I have uploaded my photos from Cockpitfest 09, they can be found at:

Then click on the Newark Air Museum image.
I was displaying the collection of flying helmets inside Hangar 2.
I thought it was an amazing event, and as it was my first time, I’ve thoroughly got the bug for it now! Can’t wait for next year! (already planning a better display!)
Cheers, Scott Bouchard
Here is an interesting link for all Lightning collectors….

Hope you enjoy, Scott.
You’ll probably have better luck with this question in one of our military aviation forums.

Thanks for the move!
Nice pics! That’s me up the cockpit ladder!!
Scott.
It was nice to chat to you on that Saturday – Thanks for posting those pictures, they’re looking so good – mine turned out very poor, my camera threw a wobbly with all the rain!
Exclelent images, looking forward to seeing some more!
Thanks, Scott.
I’ve got a Mk2 flying helmet used on TSR2 for engine tests at Boscombe Down (also used on Jaguar and Tornado engine tests) and that alone is in a bit of a state! I can only imagine the state of the aircraft!! It’s the helmet in my avatar.
When you mentioned “just a thought” well…. hold that thought!!
Scott
Hello Russel, Milton and all!
Milton – nice pics, glad to see your ATG is on it’s way in, I remember the hassle we had with changing XS458’s back in the day. It caused literally Blood, Sweat, but not many tears! Really good to see the progress on your project – Say hello to Dave and Rod for me!
Haha… on the subject of bare aluminium Lightning – a sure-fire way to get it rottttting away! I like the old Army saying – if it moves, grease it; if it doesn’t, paint it! Like Milton said, if such aircraft had the privelage of either a hangar or a constant cleaning, oiling programme then it would be possible, but at great cost. But when the guys only have one day a week to keep her runnig and operating (outside, with only sheets protecting it from the elements), keeping on top of a bare aircraft would mean having to sacrafice time spent on other duties to keep it running.
Russ, I’m liking this idea of the Super BBQ!
Been a while since I’ve been in touch, hope to hear back from some familiar people soon. Little news from my end: I’m getting married in less than 3 weeks!!! it’s crazy how quick it’s come around.
Glad to be back posting on here, Scott Bouchard
