The P-51’s went to Israeli Air Force (Al Schwimmer’s- Intercontinental Airways INC). The airport is Glindail,CA. The Mustangs were stored there for a short time until the facility in Burbank was been ready.
All the best

…tiny correction 😉 – it’s Glendale, earlier better known as Grand Central Air Terminal,
and according to this source http://www.airfields-freeman.com/CA/Airfields_CA_LA_C.htm
the caption reads: “A fabulous 1949 picture by Don Ayres of the Moseley’s Aircraft Overhaul & Repair Station hangars at Grand Central, with an amazing assemblage of P-51s, B-25s, and a C-47.”

It very probably is this one although when I saw it it was still in RNZAF colours. It does look as though it has had a recent respray doesn’t it? Thanks for the “heads-up” anyway.
Ok! Maybe this one

Unfortunately I don’t have any photographs but I’m fairly sure there was at least one Devon at the museum at Wanaka airport in New Zealand when I was there three years ago. Like most stuff there it was a non-flyer.
Guess you mean this on ZK-RNG

Anyone have pix’s of them in USN markings? How long did they use them? Not much info on USN use. Or if they were put in USN markings.
Thanks
Chris
Have sent you a PM.
Martin,
personally for me, it is still a rare find,
Gerry R.
Agreed!
Thanks fellas for both answers, just one more, does the other military 404 still exist, if so where?, or can I assume it was scrapped long ago.
Gerry R
To my understanding
c/n 14290 was destroyed in Venezuela Nov 10, 1978
c/n 14291 was scrapped at M. Graham Clark Airport (PLK) Oct 1974
and the three photos in your first post show c/n 14235 painted as 1282
Martin
Two Martin 404C cn’s 14290/1 went to USCG in 1951/2 till 1969 then USN. First as RM-1G/RM-1Z/VC-3A. USCG s/n’s 1282/3 USN s/n’s 158202/3.
Chris
Confirmed!
But especially this aircraft is only painted as 1282
It is c/n 14235.

Too young to remember the Auster and Rapide but I do remember the Cessna. Quite distinctive when parked on a ramp
