Frankly I dont trust BAe when they say things like this, usually if the MoD can see a way to save money they take it.

Unfortunately, the MoD have to these days. Accountants and shortsighted people seem to be running the whole goverment. 😡 😡 😡

With the shifting political alignments and alliances in the world, extreme caution needs to be exercised about who gets what… if the Wahabi majority in Saudi Arabia removes the Monarchy, the US & UK might be facing those Tornados & Typhoons in 5-10 years… unless we just let them do whatever they wish in regards to Israel, Iraq, etc.

True, but what about the F-15s?
    Or the M1 Tanks?
    Or the Bradley IFVs?
    Or the M113s?
    Or the F-5s?
    Or the S-70s?
    Or the E-3s?
    Or the K/C-130s?
    Or the AH-64s?

You can’t say the UK can’t be trusted as we sell the Saudis weapons when the US itself has and done and continues to do now!!! 😎

How fast was it flying? You said it was quiet, and had light, might it have been a blimp?

    hmm…

There have been cases of submarines operating manned aircraft, i am thinking of the Japanese Imperial navy in WW2, but I’m not sure about UAVs. A UAV might be useful for recon, but would it be worth all the time and effort to develop one?

I agree. The UK should not support the sales of weapons to a nation that continues to pose a threat to our interests, and has been prepared to launch unprovoked invasions of our territory in the past.

But who even if money is put into making Rafale more attractive for export, who will buy it? As I see it, there are a few nations with a possibility of purchasing it:
Brazil (Maybe in a few years anyway)
India (Then again, Su-30s are more likely)
Pakistan (AF wants more teeth, but F-16s are the way it is going)
Greece (But with their new F-16 orders and stiff competition from other aircraft, it would not be easy)

Either way, I’m sure the Rafale will prove its worth to the French military, and it is a beautiful aircraft. Good luck to it…

I still think everyone should buy Typhoon though! :diablo: :dev2: 😀 😀

Same here. Those Mi 8s and Mi 17s won’t last forever. This could be what users of these helos may be looking for in a few years?

I don’t mean to stop your enjoyment of this game, but i feel i should point out that it is a game with virtually no skill involved, relying largely on blind luck to come up with any major prize at the end. All you have to do is look at the odds each time, and hey presto you probably win money. Ah well, rant over.

Well done to the rescuers, they deserve a thankyou for their efforts. Rescuing whales is a very difficult task, and this was always the most likely outcome. Oh well…
