Fingers crossed that the KC-30 wins. Not just from a Pax Europa point of view (:diablo: ), but the USAF would be getting the best aeroplane.

    I didn’t expect what I said to cause such a storm 😮

I was speaking only on anecdotal evidence and a few articles I have read. If someone can produce figures that Russian Aircraft are as safe as western models I will admit my misconception.

And for the record, if Russian aircraft can have demonstrably high quality safety, build quality and safety record as western designs, I would have no problem flying in them.

If it can match western reliability and safety, then yes. As it is I wouldn’t feel nearly as safe in a Russian made airliner or transport plane compared to a Boeing or Airbus

Maybe a small helo force, similar to that in Albania, but nothing more, neither the money nor the requirements are really there for anything more.

I always take my own snacks and drinks in from home, although that said I am partial to a tub of ice cream if it is on offer that week.

Well fixed wing pilots will be at an all time low, as I understand it all the Albanian AF jets are either in storage or the scrapyard.

In my home town, there are only 4 officers on any one shift, to cover an area at least 20 miles wide and around 70,000 people. Forces are incompetently run by people more concerned with promotion than their duty, the whole organisational structure needs an overhaul.

As for performance based pay, it is quite simply ridiculous. Arrest targets? Officers can only make arrests based on reasonable suspicions, which have to be justified. Prosecutions are carried out by the CPS, which is next to useless. Solicitors often advise clients to say ‘no comment’ at interview as the odds are quite good the CPS will just lose the file and give no further action.

Hurricane is available, I just think that Lightning II F.mk1 or Hurrican II F.mk1 sounds a little odd, thats all, and I think we would be better off naming it something new.

As for the confusion with other aircraft, whilst i grant you it is unlikely to happen to anyone who knows anything about aviation, I still have my reservations.
