Thanks
Hehe 😀
Glad to be of service. Spread the word and soon the world will be covered in the lovely black gunge!!!
Actually I had no idea that Marmite was sold anywhere apart from the UK. Here’s another question for everyone, is marmite sold in your home country??
A slur on the good name of Marmite!!!
Apparently there was a plan to use marmite to stop violence in the middle east.
It was thought that there was a lack of zinc in the diet of people living in Israel and its neighbouring countries, and a lack of zinc in the diet makes sufferers more aggressive. So, why not send a consignment of zinc rich marmite to supplement their diets and bring peace and harmony to the region??????
It was an ammusing thought as i enjoyed my marmite on toast this morning.

Either way, F-35 would be the right way for the RoKAF in terms of capability. I just wonder if it may make the North Koreans even more jittery, with their neighbours having a first strike capable aircraft?
That is a common misconception:
There is more salt in the butter and bread of a slice of toast than the marmite you spread on it, wisdom courtesy of the marmite website.

I wonder what the Chinese Navy will be planning to do with a Carrier and wing of Rafales/Su-33s if they get them?
Surely the modern carrier is for power projection, but where do China’s strategic interests lay?
For a start, Taiwan and Japan are going to feel more threatened, so a buildup in these nations is possible, especially now that the new Japanese PM is more right wing than the last. But where else would the Chinese send a carrier, to the middle east? What for?
Any power projection by china is bound to step on the toes of someone else, so I would probably be inclined to say they currently just want to gain some carrier experience so that in the future they will be able to build a vast bluewater fleet like the USN. But still, the idea of a massively powerful China trying to spread its influence worries me deeply. Cue arms race with India and Japan?

I never heard of marmite before… can you name a compareable flavour?
Hehe, its rather difficult to descibe, I certainly couldn’t do it justice with words, its something you have to taste for yourself.
Its a spread made from yeast, black/brown in colour, rather salty but with a unique taste all of its own.

Btw, I still can’t post polls, is does anyone know how we could add one to the thread?

I think you make a good point in some of those cases.
We certainly should not sell weapons to nations which we fear may use them irresponsibly or to nations that abuse their own citizens, period. Aiding someone to commit a crime, through your action or inaction, and you are no better than the criminal yourself.
You mean like in Iraq when when little girls are stalked and then followed to their homes and raped and murdered along with their families to eliminate witnesses.
What does this have to do with the thread?
And in any case, I think that you will find that the maority of the violence in Iraq is caused by Iraqi factions ( Suni, Shia or Kurd) killing each other, and that coalition troops are trying to stop the insurgency. If you are going to make claims like this, back it up with some evidence. Here is mine:
