Ah yes, I stand corrected.
In any case, are new Tu-160 airframes in production or are the Russians just using existing ones?
An interesting idea, but I’m not hopeful. National pride often gets in the way of even the best ideas.

The exerceise involves fifty Tu-160s? 😮
I didn’t think they had this many, isn’t more in the region of ten?
Ok, another.
This happened at my the halls of residence for my university in Leicester.
I spoke to the caretaker about the block where my girlfriend lived, and made a passing remark about a strange event that had occured. He told me that on two seperate years, different people in the same room had awoken in the middle of the night to find a small boy sitting on the end of their bed, who would then disappear. the experience was enough to frighten the normally macho young men and everyone else in the building witless, and the night watchman had to come and calm them all down.
Similarly, one of the other staff members had been in the block one summer to test the boilers. The building was devoid of students, this being a term break, so the caretaker was the only one in the building. He had gone upstairs and was testing the boiler when one of the internal doors (which were all closed when he entered) slammed so hard that it jarred all the windows. He refused to ever go in there again.

Here’s one then.
My mother was laying in bed one night when she heard a strange noise comming from my brother’s bedroom. She went in to investigate and found all was well, and took the time to glance out of the window.
She saw many colourful lights in the sky that seemed to orbit one another, smaller lights circling cigar shaped craft. This went on for quite a while, before she felt that she was being pushed backwards and falling. She remembers landing on her back on her bed, then reawaking. The clock told her that some hours had passed since the earlier experience, and she swears that the occurence seemed as real as everyday life.

I guess also with a larger and more capable air arm the Irish Republic could also take part in international peacekeeping etc if they so wished.
Could always go for a joint defence policy with the UK. Let a flight of RAF jets fly out of Dublin airport for a small fee in return, open up some irish airspace for training, allow irish defence pilots to train with the RAF in fast jets.
Failing that, some F-5s or F-16s from AMARC would be all thats needed.
As the British JSFs will also be used off the RN carriers, will they at least be carrying the AMRAAM for a BVR missile?
How about Cuba?
its a subcaliber F15 launched from the special missions Jimmy carter seawolf sub. carries no ordnance but SEAL operators packed inside wing pods. also has a GAU8 to take care of FACs and such.
Of course, why didn’t I think of that one!!! 😀 😀
Its great to see these birds in the air again.
Are these originals or new builds?
Looks like a wing tank, but can’t be sure.
