i watched a piece of aluminum get turned into a p39 main spar at Murray Griffiths work shop in wangarratta by a similar machine a few years back, absolutely incredible to watch in action.
i traveled there from Australia last year and i can only echo the comments of mr smith,i saw 7spitfire’s in flight(i’d only seen 2 before that and not at once)’3 buchon’s several mustang’s 3 seafuries,3 skyraider’s the list goes on…till i got to england i’d never even seen a thunderbolt or p38 .
i suppose if it is there all the time you take it for granted, gentlemen even with the loss of d-bbd/a68-192 it is a great event you should look up and realize these events wont go on if we rubbish them,my first warbird show down here had a few tigermoth’s(gotta love tiger’s)a ryan stm and one mustang.
i’m sure the event will be brilliant!!! i’m so jealous of you guy’s doing this event and also goodwood festival of speed.,hope to get back over there in the next couple of years.
‘enjoy the sight’s and sounds!!!!!!!!!!!!
i only have seen one episode of ice pilots but even from that i could tell he was a brilliant pilot(even more in awe after watching the video above).
word fail how i feel….another great one gone.

i also discovered the tread a bit late..
this forum did alter the way(well very slightly the wife had more influence:dev2:)the places i visited on my holiday to the uk..though i did meet a couple of forum members(beermat and mk12 plus the other writer of “the book”(and had it signed)i also spent time at the redlion pub that i would never of heard of if it hadn’t been for this place.
i’m hoping to get back over there in around 3 years so i do hope to meet more members and visit more places from these pages(i don’t care what the wife says i’m visiting firebex and the whirlwind project!!!!)
