RE: Airshow Irritations!
Whats irratating ? having a member of the public moaning about:-
1) Why a certain aircraft isn’t at the show.
2) That a certain aircraft has now turned up to the show and the m,o,t,p, is not on the flightline walk any more and has forgotten to get his hand rubber stamp to get back on the flight line walk.
3) Where tractors and equipment are parked.
Before the flying has even started!!!
4)m,o,t,p, Who take up ‘residence’ with their windbreaks, deck chairs ladders (sorry snapper!!). Especially the one who do it right in front of the access gate. Then look at you outraged when you ask them to move (politely of course)
5)m,ot,p, who take no notice what so ever and smoke near aircraft.
Then get all uptight when you ask them to put it out.
I agree with you whole heartedly though on the issue of the so called ‘press photographers'(wanabe john dibbses!) I think they should be band from the flightline while the public are on the line,they don’t move even when asked (Gods gift I think the term is!!)
However when you see an engineer working on an aircraft its normally for a very good reason as they do try to stay clear during the walk.
