Any pictures with the Indian AW101?
Well, i haven’t seen any picture with it extended, so we can assume that either it hasn’t been installed yet, or it was never tested….yet.

What’s the two part opening opposite of the IRST, with them zigzags?
The refueling probe.
Just found on TJ’s blog 🙂

Could that be “52” ?
Is it me or does the second prototype have a one piece canopy?…as opposed to the two piece split in half on the longitudinal axis on the first prototype.
I’m resurrecting an old thread here but have another question. Is there a fuel contents gauge anywhere?? I can’t seem to see one so how does the pilot know how much fuel is left?
Thanks Paul

Follow the link above and to the right of the stick there`s an indicator with a yellow filled circle in the middle. That`s the fuel meter.
Both outer contrails spiral behind the aircraft due to the flow of the air over the wings – vortex. If you look closely at link posted by Flanker_man you will see that the contrail from engine #1 is getting closer to contrail of engine #2 (due to vortex) while on starboard going away from each other. Nothing unnatural here…just an optical illusion.
Click here. It’s not the same aircraft, but the efect is the same.
Second Mi-38 has flown:

Beautiful helicopter. Anyone knows something about how many are ordered and who ordered them?
BTW, MSphere, would that be a Tibetan Mi-17 by any chance?
That’s an Iraki Mi-17.
so why do they overhaul them there instead of Russia?
It may be cheaper, or they may have better relations with Ukraine than Russia.

claims “PLAAF MiG-29”?
Bort number “54 Red”?
Photoshopped? The caption says “China through special route acquires several MiG-29 fighters used for research and ‘Blue Force’ fighters”.
(AFAIK, WRT Soviet fighters after the MiG-21, the Chicom managed to get some MiG-23s from Libya, and maybe a Mi-24 from Afghanistan.)
Fake.
That`s a Romanian MiG-29. I don`t have the original at hand, maybe googeler has it.
Better Avionics = F-22
Better Stealth = F-22
Better Situational Awarness = F-22
Better Pilots = F-22
Better Radar = F-22
Better EW = F-22
Better Missiles = F-22
Better Manuverability = PAK FA (allegedly)
Better Price (cheaper) = PAK FADon’t get me wrong. The Russians built a decent aircraft that can compete with a Rafale or Eurofighter but it cant hope to match the Raptor. The US lead is far too big in virtually all areas. We were 20 years ahead in 1990 and 30+ years ahead now. G-d bless USA and our number one ally Israel
+1 for that objective analyses! Comparing a finite product with a prototype…good job.
Looks like vertical stowage to me……:D

With all due respect, sir, but I think the wheels are stowed horisontally in the fuselage. Just look a little bit closely.
