“Silent, Swift, Superb: The Story Of The Vickers VC-10” by Scott Henderson is an absolutely suberb book on the aircraft, much more so than you might at first realise, the more you read through it, the more you can appreciate the information that is contained within it.
The more recent “Vickers VC10” by Lance Cole is also very good.
Would be great to see a revised edition of one of them at the end of RAF VC-10 operations.

Today HFL had an official opening do and unveiled their new facility at St Athan, the Super Hangar should provide for plenty of expansion for the company.
Someone thoughtfully provided some pretty lights to get some nice pictures!

It’s still early days yet, but it is intended to keep it updated, including the Gannet restoration work which has a blog page.

My impression was that it was going in the space cleared in one of the C hangars, could be wrong though.
My point is that it’s going into long term preservation, couldn’t see the need to be down beat about it.

The only place I can think of that has an airworthy Sea Prince (WP321) and a Pembroke (WV740) is Bournemouth Airport, however that Sea Prince was on EBay recently, so unsure of curent status?

I looks to me that someone thought it would be a nice idea to remove and display the cockpit section complete with the intakes, which it is – just not a great idea doing it with an oxy torch!
