Bit of an over reaction here really, this is the sort of thing that happens to service arcraft all the time, from the humble Tutor upwards. We have VC-10s that return with problems days on end after majors and inspections.
These are complex aircraft and tech faults will happen to them.

Sorry but I was being entirely serious, and I can even come out with all the blurb about how we as humans introduced cats into areas of wildlife and decimated domestic species. My own case is that I stupidly caved into my missus wishes and introduced two cats where there were’nt any before, and we can honestly both say it is the worst thing that we have decided to do in our lives.
They have caused an absolute nuisance to all the neighbours, attracted loads of other cats, and have caused damage to the local area (including wiping out the local Dipper population), as well as wrecking stuff in the house.
I’m a shotgun and firearms licencee and have no qualms in killing any animal if I have to – which is part of my job efffectively.
I don’t agree in cruelty or suffering to animals at all, but I can understand why some people get handy with an airrifle to deal with problems in their garden.

Not having my cats shot at, could do it myself I suppose!

I suspect that it was maybe intended for store, XF708 was definitely flown direct Kemble Duxford on the 22 August ’72, I seem to remember an article by one of the crew about how pleased they were that it was now in the safe hands of the IWM as a flying exhibit!
I was under the impression that it has been on public display ever since, being a long term resident of the site, but maybe someone else knows better on that.

I like the idea that once I die I may get the chance to live again someday.
Like it or not, it ain’t happening!

Good Sunday afternoon funny film, but then I enjoy anything with Will Ferrell in it and even better with John C Reilly. The job interviews bit is brilliant.:)
