Good Sunday afternoon funny film, but then I enjoy anything with Will Ferrell in it and even better with John C Reilly. The job interviews bit is brilliant.:)
Basically, the story revolves around the idea that there WAS a final trip to the Moon, which was covered up because the astronauts found something there and were never heard from again. Until now…. Nothing to do with conspiracy theories at all.

Sorry but that’s balls, the likes of you and me and most here know that it is clearly a fake, but there are some morons about who will start believing films like this and start spouting off about the real reason the Apollo missions came to an end.
My missus was treated to a tyraid of laughing and swearing when she mentioned that the an Apollo 13 sequel is coming out called Apollo 18!

Yep, apologies Kev & Baz, it is Beaufighter I, they did have a different multiframed screen arrangement than later variants.
Surprising how many illustrations and models show the wrong glazing.

I don’t anything about kills but the glazing is completely wrong for a Beaufighter (take a look at the model I gave you Baz!).
Look at the pic below the corner screen wraps around from the front armoured screen (unlike the above pic) and its bottom edge goes from a flat horizontal at the side and curves vertically over the curvature of the nose. Also there is no horizontal frame in the position that we see on the side screen.
It doesn’t look quite right for Mossie either, but nearest I can think of unless strange markings exercise on a captured German type.
I don’t anything about kills but the glazing is completely wrong for a Beaufighter (take a look at the model I gave you Baz!).

I’m wondering if you’re thinking of XF703 that was kept at the RAFM store at Henlow before being scrapped in 1975?

I assume the Argus has fared better in preservation?

Lovely shots again, YU was the Comet that after tests revealed the weakness in the pressure cabin responsible for the loss of YP.
I think most modern flat bed scanners will scan slides and negatives.
My older flatbed scanner scans everything, negs. slides, prints etc but is playing up so I have started to look around for a replacement, after looking throughout Currys, Tescos, and PC World I was gutted that you can’t seem to get combined flatbed scanners anymore – a very retrograde move:mad:
