Wow, fantastic pictures of seldom seen aircraft, is that a MiG-25 rear end?
    Thank you for sharing:)

Nice and unusual pictures, are the Gazelles ex British Army?

Yes you get a very good welcome here, and T/O and other workers on the site are extremely helpful and willing to accommodate requests from enthusiastic visitors.
I will post some of my shots up sometime, but they are no where near as imaginative as cgull’s offerings.

I did recommend at post #24 that this discussion should be carried on in the same titled thread in Historic forums – far more relevant and sensible!

    And me!

I think one giveaway is that generally the HT leads are fed from the front on these, and from the rear on the Hercules.

One thing I never got was the involvement of the USAF and the preserved Mysteres in the UK?

I could be wrong, but it looks like a Centaurus to me (Hercules similar but detail differences), and judging by the background it looks like it is in the engines hall?

    Either way, an excellent picture!:)

I like the ‘Varsity’ shot – I’ve never seen it as detailed as that!! 😉

    Or is it the Hastings?!;)

My favourite pic is the Centaurus engine shot very imaginative and effective.:)

I haven’t seen it yet, but one of the actors was being interviewed the other day and seemed slightly miffed that one of the great story lines from the first episode, regarding the going wrong of the count down clock, was overshadowed by reality!

I do like ‘In The Thick Of It’, only just started watching it, a few years too late!
